Elizabeth Jessen, MA, LMHP, LPC began practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1991 in Kansas City, Missouri, after earning her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. When her family moved back “home” to Lincoln in 2000, she obtained her Licenses as a Mental Health Practitioner and Professional Counselor in the state of Nebraska.
Elizabeth has worked with individuals, couples, children and their families in agency, private practice and residential/inpatient settings, and has volunteered with Clinic with a Heart, Region V Prevention Leadership, Mourning Hope, Hugs Camp, and is trained as a QPR Trainer for suicide prevention . Elizabeth has supported those facing the challenges of anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, impulsivity, Attention Deficit symptoms, and adjustments to death, divorce, adoption, abuse and neglect. She has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and utilizes art and play therapy in her practice.
