Sandra Schatz, Ph.D.

Sandra graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She has a Masters of Arts in experimental psychology from Stony Brook University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of South Dakota. Sandra has completed assessments at community mental health centers, outpatient clinics, residential facilities for adolescents, VA hospitals, inpatient hospitals, jails, the foster care system, and the Army. She worked with the severe and persistently mentally ill in Wichita, Kansas before relocating to Fort Hood, Texas to work with active duty service members. She values the combination of a thorough clinical interview along with valid and reliable assessment measures to provide a clear picture of an individual’s unique situation.

She has recently relocated to Lincoln to focus her work on psychological assessment and testing. She works with ages 8 to adult to provide assessments for:

·         Diagnostic clarification (finding the actual diagnosis)

·         Personality disorders

·         ADHD

·         Transgender

·         Anxiety disorders, including PTSD

·         Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder

·         Learning disabilities

·         Severe and persistent mental illness (diagnosing schizophrenia and other severe conditions)

·         Memory impairment (is the problem clinically significant or age-related decline?)

When not working, Sandra can be found watching baseball, practicing Taekwondo, or assisting her young great-nieces in their various mischievous endeavors.
